Specter is a closet Dem. He values the Senate much more than the Executive Branch, He is repulsive, and the decision by Rove et al to support him in the last election, when he had a primary challenger, was a terrible decision, IMO.
Rove's gotta be smacking himself upside his own head wondering what the heck he was thinking ;-)
