Standards in education, Military, Police, Firefighting have been LOWERED to allow women entry to any field that didn't have any or "enough" of them.

They might kick my ass, because I'm a law-abiding citizen who has been taught all his life that it's immoral to strike a woman. How well they'd do against big Bubba is another question altogether.

There are plenty of sites on the net where you can watch people fighting, ametuer cam shots recording. Girls punch like, well, girls. Get a guy in there, and the girls go down hard.
I've seen fights three girls against one guy, and they lost badly.
No amount of police training can overcome a guy. When you watch COPS on TV, the girls always wait for backup before trying to take down a man.
What a crock.
Are you a guard or do you have an administrative position? Regardless, I have to hand it to you for going anywhere near a prison, male or otherwise. I would be too uneasy.
If you're 6 ft and 220 lbs and the females you work with can kick your ass, you are either a wimp or deluding yourself. A female is no match for someone your size, no matter how tough she thinks she is.
Having worked in Corrections, I say "horsecrap!" They pound that politically correct propaganda into your head until you believe it. The women are much tougher than expected, when they have backup and the force of the law standing behind them. On the prison compound, dealing with guys who don't care about the force of the law, things are different. Women do their guard jobs well using their brains, but when order breaks down and the wild deranged brawling breaks out, then most women are like rag dolls in the horns of deranged bulls. However, many of the politically corrected wussy men and sickly old coots hanging on for retirement are no better.
My brother is in the Coast Guard. Of the many female Coasties who he's encountered, few could handle a 200+ pound man high on drugs or with significant mental illness, without resorting to using their sidearm (nothing wrong with that, IMO!). He points out that many males cannot do that, either! That doesn't mean the females aren't generally very effective in their jobs - they serve very capably in the Coast Guard. The ladies are in excellent shape and could take on a man of their size. There's the rub, though; the average female is of shorter stature and weigh less than the average male.
I did aikido for a time in college. I, a 5'8", 170 lb female, was no match for a 6', 210 lb male, regardless of my skill. This was after I'd spent a year in hard training for intercollegiate athletics, too!
Physical differences aside, I've seen in documentaries of max security and supermax prisons that female prison guards are often singled out by male inmates for crude and abusive treatment. Inmates will throw urine and feces at officers, shout obscenities, and expose themselves in lewd fashion. I'm not a girly-girl, but I'd need to be paid a whole lot to put up with men behaving like that towards me.
Even in administrative duties, safety can be an issue. In the state prison here, 2 years ago, a female counselor was abducted, raped, and held hostage by an inmate for hours. It didn't end until guards shot and killed him by climbing up into the ceiling and gaining access that way. It happened in the office where she worked - no where near the actual cells. The only good thing to come out of it was it really drew attention to the facts of understaffing of COs, and many issues in the prison system in my state.
Maybe they'll have something on the 'garden doctor' show!
But seriously, I've lived in this house for almost 30 years and this is the first time I've heard of it being called 'the state prison in Sacramento'. NOW as far as establishing a state prison here, I got a good idea for putting up some bars on the dome downtown....
The fact that your realize this only enhances your safety. Women that take a self defense course and think they can go head to head with a male are foolhardy and put themselves at serious risk. There are plenty of ways to even the odds a little and women should master them.

Women COs in the joint is one of our more stupid ideas.
One was raped and butchered at Leavenworth back around 20 years ago while the staff including her husband listened in horror while two thuggas had her in a locked room in the administration building.
They were lifers...maniacs and didn't care. It's in the book "Hothouse" i think
also it's not uncommon for female COs to sell "favors"
about as stupid as male COs in a cat joint.

This give us a lower constitutional standard for deadly force on the part of the authorities. I don't like that. As it happens the law will recognize the danger to, say a 5' 100lb woman and accept her use of deadly force in a situation where a 200 lb man would find himself on charges of excessive force or murder

Cannot do what? Manhandle a large enraged or deranged man? In all honesty NOBODY can. Beyond that a 200lb guy CAN deliver a blow with his fist or a club thst will have an effect on ANYBODY. Also he can 'tie up' almost any size guy up while help arrives.
One example: I once, on a NYC street, responded to a womans scream of "get him get him". I chased a 16 yr old I saw fleeing. Turned out to be a "slash mugger" I cornered him and he presented his box cutter threateningly. I was un armed but I laughed at him (psychological ploy) and forced him to fight. I judged my chances in that one situation to be good (they are all different)and the guy wnt to jail. If I had uad a gun I WOULD NOT have pulled it--no need to.

Master the round house kick and it will probably work. Most guys attacking a woman at random aren't expecting a fight. Round house kicks coming out of nowhere are FRIGHTENING!
They tend to back off and go look for somone who WON'T fight.
I've seen this kick delivered from as close as one foot away.
Well, on the news tonight they finally explained that that IS the techincal/offical name of "New Folsom!"
Then they seemed to make a point of calling it "New Folsom" throughout the balance of the news reading!
Now I've heard it called "New Folsom" many times by a lot of Folsomites and Sacramentans and even Rosevillians. I never knew there were villians in Roseville, did you? There sure are a lot of villians in Old and New Folsom state prison in repressa, where they repress ya, right?
I spose that comes in handy if your clothes git rinkled, right?
I rarely listen to the 'garden doctor' show since ol whats-his-name petered out on it. See! I cain't even remmemer his name no more!!! dang!!! So soon we are all forgotten!!!
