Can anyone say "illegal immigration"? We warned W about this, but he chose not to listen. He'll tar Republican candidates with his amnesty approach and they'll lose in droves.

George is doing a great job with the war on terror, EXCEPT here at home.

Conservatives aren't real happy about how the war in Iraq is being handled either. Iran is infiltrating Iraq, building up their troops along the border and so is Turkey.
Talk about a border issue. Zarqawi still lives's.

Exactly, when will the Republican majority realize that closing the borders and NO amnesty will keep them the majority?

This illegal alien issue is a lib dem issue, these people are definitely dem voters so if the republican majority goes along with the dems on this and pass amnesty, leave the 20 million here, allow them to run the country as they are (the illegals are) allow the illegals to overcrowd this country, pass Kenedy's bill it will be the majorreason they will lose, they will have handed over the majority on a platinum platter to the dems.

BUT if they distinguish themselves from the other party by securing the border tight with armed guards, pass a strict bill against the illegals, proving they are tough on terroism in all forms foreign and domestic, deport as many as they can through a elimination process, hire an outside firm to manage the border and the fence, fine employers who hire the creeps, make it a felony to break into this country I mean my God if govt cannot see it should be made to be a serious crime than my goodness any and all terroists will see it's open season on this country, why should the mexicans be allowed to break in anytime they want? WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THE mexicans to break in so they can get jobs? Thats so utterly ridiculous it defies description if you think about it.

Folks we cannot allow the dems to get a foothold or allow our party to hand over this country to a bunch of mexicans, their employers and the mexican government and the democrats.

This handing over of all jobs to the mexicans and the largest employers right now of the mexicans illegals are construction companies, and making it a MINOR Offense for a group of mexican nationals who come here and steal from us
is worse than ridiculous.

If they hand the majority to the dems than we all lost everything!

"He'll tar Republican candidates with his amnesty approach and they'll lose in droves."

- That's right, they'll desert Republican candidates in droves to vote Democrat - who also believe in the amnesty approach. Hmmmm. Somethin' ain't right with this argument. But no matter. Bush is going to lose big time when he seeks re-election in 2008. I know I'm not gonna vote for him again.

No, you're dead wrong. I've been out canvassing for Blackwell here in OH, and while illegals is a BIG issue---even Ken Blackwell is starting to include "enforcement" talk in his governor stump speeches---NO ONE thinks the Dems can be trusted at all on this. It's a question of a party that cannot ever be brought around to one that we might have some leverage over, and for the GOP it's a winning issue, even as a negative.

We warned W about this, but he chose not to listen.

I recently came across an article, "Alien Crossings" by anthropologist Glynn Custred, about the illegal invasion across the Texas border, and its impact on ranchers there.

The article was in The American Spectator, October 2000.

Bush was finishing up his career as governor of Texas at the time. No way he hasn't known full well what he is doing. The missing link is, why. I suspect he will never tell us.

No, W warned you. His view has been consistent since day 1. He said he favored guest workers since he was governor of Texas and repeted it frequently on the campaign trail in 2000.

If you now find that unacceptable, that's your problem, not his.

Your right, George also said that we will fight the war on terror "over there" so it won't come here, but, if the border's are NOT closed the enemy will come in.
Another reason why George's border policy is a disaster and that effects us here at home.
