I hope Santorum wins.

I don't know where you live, but even after I tell you some of the crap he's done, you still want him to win? WHY?

We came within 6000 votes of removing Specter (out of 1 million votes). Specter, a 4 term incumbent, outspent Toomey by a margin of 4 to 1. He had the full backing of the GOP at every level. He had Senor Jorge Arbusto and Rick Santorum -- two men thought to be conservatives -- tell PA that they needed to reelect Specter because he was 'with us' when we needed him. Three months prior to the election, Toomey was a relative unknown and had about 15% of the vote. Those numbers grew with each passing week. He inspired people to get out and vote for him. He/we had assembled a grass roots organization that was the envy of every pol and in just a matter of months, came that close to ridding the Senate of Specter. We failed, but it was close enough to tell me that we are on the right track and we must continue our fight. Two years ago I was predicting that Santorum would lose because of what he did to Toomey. Since then, I've watched his record more closely and found him to be a self serving pandering politician with no core except himself. Now I am recommending that people vote 3rd party. I wish there was an acceptable and viable alternative, but there isn't. Ricky simply does not deserve to be reelected. He needs to get on with his life's work. I cannot and will not accept responsibility for the failure of the GOP to attract voters. My vote must be earned. It can't be bought or scared out of me.

I want the GOP to retain 55 Senate seats and hopefully add to them.

It is us or them. I know the left. I do not underestimate them or their agenda. There is a huge difference between the GOP and the donks. Neither may be conservative, so from a conservative POV, there is no difference. However, from my pragmatic POV and based on what I know of progressives from personal experience, I'll take the GOP in power, rather than out.

Many of us do not invest totally in any one politician. Incrementalism works....look at what we have to deal with even now, even with governmental power to the center right, just because the left has bureaucratic and cultural hegemony.

I am not going to aid or abet them one whit. No one will learn any lessons and I, my family and friends and my country will really suffer. No thanks.
