That spine is not going to do you any good when it's broken. That's why it was designed to bend when necessary.

This is the kind of meaningless phraseology that people like Jesse Jackass and the rest of the RATs are prone to using.

The original comment I made on this thread was a reference to "biting one's nose off to spite one's face" --- an expression that is in the common vernacular. In context it is not meaningless phraseology.

TXBSAFH then responded with reference to not "being without a spine." Again an expression that is common, and from the context I understood perfectly well what he meant. My comment, which you seem to think is meaningless, was simply a response to TXBSAFH's phrase. I managed to have a reasonable and generally civil exchange with him about what I see as common goals but different methods at reaching those goals.

Having a civil exchange of opinion does not seem to suit everyone's agenda here.
