...that the so called base will be reformatted...

I'm sure conservatives will be glad that you and their party values them about as much as a floppy disk.

If you don't start with principle, you can end up anywhere because you have no anchors or guides. What do you gain when you sacrifice principle for power? Who benefits from such an arrangement?

Who is advocating authoritarianism? Certainly not those of us who are pushing for a return to a small, unintrusive government. The larger government gets, the more authoritarian it becomes, so I guess that you mean yourself when you point that finger.

I am now left to wonder if you are delusional or just without principle.

I'll compromise. You're both.

At least you recognize that I am the adult and admit that your emotions can't overcome my logic and principle.

It's funny how so many claim to be conservative, except for their own special exceptions and exemptions. You are a perfect example. Thanks for displaying it so plainly.

Come back when you have more than emotion.

Just a suggestion... you badly need to work on your cognitive skills.

Hes wrong to call you a RINO because of immigration. If anything youre slightly to the right of the GOP leadership on immigration. THAT is the problem.

Thanks, but I don't need help from the likes of you.

Call me what you will. If you believe that someone who advocates limited constitutional government and individual liberty is a 'far right wingnut' you only marginalize yourself.

My principles are in tact and that makes me solid conservative. You apparently believe that principle and liberty are negotiable and that makes you a RINO.

So you see, my opinion is firmly anchored in fact while your opinion is wallowing in ignorance.

Got it?

Read back over the thread. It has nothing to do with immigration. His other comments lead me to believe that he is a RINO.

You are an idealogue, and easily recognized by your statement, "my principles are intact".

Which means that if you don't get what you want, you will not vote.

And that makes you. . . WHAT?. . . since you don't have any that you won't surrender.

I'd rather be an ideologue than a sell out.

You know that the republicans are lying to you so you better stay home and not vote.

Yawn.

Don't you have something or someone to sell out?

As I pointed out on a previous reply, there are key words and phrases that the right wingnuts commonly use. In that case, the word was "principle". As in, "the republican candidate doesn't represent my views, so I am not going to vote because that would be a violation of my 'principles'."

Now you have used another "key phrase", which is "sell out". As in, "they are selling us out and trying to destroy America".

There is nothing wrong or illegal(unless you cross the line), in your political views. Its just that the mainstream political parties will always be inadequate for you.

LOL

You are pathetic.

Having principle is bad.

Giving them up is good.

Principles are normally considered to be a virtue. But there are times when they become a vice.

I have no doubt that you would want your politician, faced with an inevitable political defeat on a particular issue, to go down in a big ball of flames defending the defeat.(idealism)

Myself, I prefer that my politician get out in front of the issue and shape it so that it is less detrimental to me.(realism)

The public is not tired of Republicans - they are tired of Republicans not acting like Republicans. Moreoever, they can't communicate worth a Thanksgiving Turkey found on Thanksgiving Day from the year before...

"Don't be an idiot. Not voting for a RINO does not mean that we'll be voting for Democrats."

- Your above comment indicates that you won't be voting either Democrat or RINO in the next election but rather you will be voting for someone else. It seems to me that you are laboring under the impression that there will be three names to choose from on the ballot.
As a wise man once said, don't be an idiot.
