Libby - in the process, we learned something new about Rove -
From: John King - at hearing .. Libby said hello, beginning to learn about what case each hopes to present. Libby's team - it has every intention of calling Rove .. officially on the record that they plan to call him as witness.
Plans to call 5 witnesses who will testify that Wilson told openly discussing this with people.
Defense calling Wilson a habitual liar.
Will challenge the testimony of Mark Grossman -- he has a long-standing relationship with Wilson going back to college and they intend to challenge his credibility.
DumJoe Wilson's statement: the last I heard this case is about allegations that Mr. Libby lied and perjured himself before the GJ. Furthermore, the prosecutor has made it clear that several WH officials had a campaign of revenge against me.
JohnKing: Goss -- several weeks of tension between Negroponte and Goss. Contentious arguments .. policy not personal .. about duties of the CIA Negroponte wanted transferred out of the CIA. Goss disagreed, felt it would weaken the CIA. Negroponte then went to the WH to clear up the argument between the two and Bush chose Negroponte.

God bless Porter Goss, and thank you.
I knew Joe couldn't resist coming out with a statement.
After all, Valerie has a book to sell!
Notice that when Bill what's his face listed the "problems" with Congress right now, he didn't mention McKinney or Patches.
Sounds like Porter got a raw deal here...
I seem to remember that Tenet said that one of the problems the CIA had in the Clinton White House, was his inability to speak directly to Clinton every day.
Bush comes in...and makes it policy to talk to the CIA Director every day, especially since 9/11....and then Congress sets up this stupid new system recommended by the bogus 9/11 Commission...
and once again, the CIA Director is left out of everyday contact...
This is all my theory of course...but, I am sure that Goss was told he would have direct contact with President Bush...and Congress, and Negroponte have thwarted that.
Yes, you are correct, God Bless Mr. Goss...( I am praying I won't have to take back that statement)
Question
Wasn't Negroponte the one that didn't think releasing the Iraq document was important
and that Bush over rid that and had them released??
Sen Pat Roberts on Special report now talking about this
