I am not at all in disagreement with you. I wasn't saying I thought it was good law. Just good sense. On the other hand, prohibiting smoking in a barroom is senseless to me.

Would I force young children to sit in a car with closed windows while I chain-smoked? No, I agree with you that it makes good sense no to do that.

On the other hand, I don't necessarily believe that children catching a whiff of cigar or cigarette smoke in a car with the windows down is any more harmful than the pollutants they're routinely exposed to on a daily basis.

A law like this opens a Pandora's Box: once passed, there's nothing that can't be banned next.
