I would bet that the people who wanted him to live were women.
Same types who just couldn't bring themselves to find the Menendez Brothers quilty because they were orphans.

To those jurors who voted against death: I don't consider you to be Americans.Oh come on... There's debate right here on this thread, by FReepers who are very much American, indicating life in prison is a reasonable sentence as well as death. I don't have a dog in this fight, while I probably would have voted death, I really don't care as long as he is kept out of society. A crime like 9-11 is bigger than our justice system anyway. There's no punishment that is 'enough' to mitigate the damage.
