"Make sure you store it at room temp and don't keep it at an angle for too long, it will warp.

For an acoustic, make sure the humidity is stable. Might also want to put a tad more relief in the neck (if the buzz is across a number of strings), or raise the saddle (depending on bridge type) if it is only one string.

Good point. Humidity is a killer for wood instruments.
