Sorry Rush, but total war with modern weapons is too horrible to contemplate....

Reality is that no American wants to unleash that amount of death and destruction on anyone.

One bombing raid could end the war in Iraq, but it would kill hundreds of thousands of truly innocent souls...

Count me out.

I don't think the issue is to use the entire arsenal...but we HAVE gone out of our way to spare civilians even when it might have resulted in the capture of Zarqawi or perhaps even bin Laden himself. I think the military power should be more decentralized so you don't always have the lawyers questioning every call. After Abu Ghraib, I fear we're back to the Vietnam syndrome where the Pengaton had to clear everything.

Full scale war was not required in Iraq as their leaders chose to run and hide untill we bagged & tagged them.

Unleash all hell on our enemies...in Iran, Syria, North Korea. Otherwise they will wait until we can't and strike us.
