Get'em, Neal.

I've done without them, all my life. I own a multi-million dollar company, have 18 employees, and have NEVER hired an illegal. Never will. America can do without all of them, 24 x 7 x 365.

Right on!
I am finishing up a Business (human resources) degree at school. As God is my witness, I will use everything in my power to ensure that the company lucky enough to hire me, will only be hiring legal citizens.
Thanks,
MCakes

This could be a make-or-break issue in November, yet Bush and the Republicans continue to do nothing.
Are they TRYING to lose the election?!

We always mow our own lawn and even though it's 0.75 acre in a subdivision, we grow our own tomatoes. Next year the garden will be bigger. It's our own little 'victory garden'. I helped my Mom start a small garden his year too. It's a drop in the bucket, but my neighbor looked at our garden and is going to put one in too. It's not too late to put in some 'mater plants, green peppers, cukes and summer squash!

I like Neals thoughts on taking some of the money the illegals send back to Mexico. One thought I had earlier this morning after seeing that the Mexicans in Mexico are boycotting everything Gringo in Mexico today because we exploit their country economically, was to stop all mail delivery and wire transfers to Mexico for two weeks and show them what it feels like to really be exploited.

Careful, HR guy... resident aliens and visa holders have the same employment rights as citizens. Illegals are a different matter entirely.

So far I have not noticed. My life has not changed yet.
How about a "No government services or pay check Day"
Lets see how they like that.
Go to a Hospital, NO SERVICE. Go to a Government building, Sorry NO ENTRADA!

I think we'll soon be without illegal immigrants (or at least without many of the ones we currently have) - President Bush wants to make them legal.
Unfortunatley I'm running into Republicans who are sideing with President Bush over this, because they are looking at it from a religious perspective - I'e had two different ones basically tell me "President Bush is trying to be a good Christian, and Jesus certainly wouldn't turn these people away". That's one of the more weird reasons I've heard for support Bush on this, and even responding with "he doesn't seem to have a problem with turning Cubans back towards a Godless dictatorship, something which the illegals in Mexico and South American don't really have to contend with" doesn't phase them. They'll apologize for anything.
Before anybody blasts me for this position - until President Bush referrred to the Minutemen as vigilantes, and until he publicly mentioned a "Guest Worker" program, the illegal immigration movement didn't have much of a stage. Both of those things gave them an opening, and now look what we have.

Hogwash. If you believe the Bible you have to believe God believed in laws. With the whole 10 commandments, Moses throwing the tablets down and the earth opening up to swallow the lawbreakers and God himself striking non-priests dead if they touched the Ark of Covenant...
To: butternut_squash_bisque
Glad to hear it! I just wish more business owners would do the same. The law is the law, why should business owners pick & choose the ones they don't like.
I just heard on the news, at the top of the hour, that all of Gloria Estefan's restaurants will be closed today to show solidatiry for illegal immigrant's! I say we should boycott any and all establishments for the rest of the year, who have closed today.

Boycotting education is what they already do 365 days a year what's new about today? Maybe the test scores in my class will double today if we are unburdened with the disruptions, fights, attempted impregnations and apathy.
(No, I'm not talking about the teachers this time.)
