You really sound quite prejudiced. I hope Congress can pass some type of amnesty bill so those hard-working immigrants can continue to support their families. Just so long as they don't dare sing the National Anthem in Spanish.

Whats funny is these illegals probably stocked up yesterday to prepeare for today which means the economy still got its money.
Also, companies who hire illegals will just drive around and find some other illegal looking for work who dont give two craps about DWI...(that acronym looks eerily like Driving While Intoxicated which isnt far from the truth with illegals).

Idiots.
What people don't buy at Latino stores they'll buy at stores that are open.
What Latinos don't buy today, they'll buy tomorrow instead.
Do they really think this will put even the tiniest of dents in the economy?

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said Monday he was concerned that the demonstrations "are going to be a distraction from what the real issue is, and that is the need for comprehensive immigration reform."
Rather than a boycott, immigrants should work to pressure Congress to pass legislation that would allow those already in the country to earn U.S. citizenship, Richardson told CBS' "The Early Show."
Sen. Lamar Alexander (news, bio, voting record), R-Tenn., told CBS that the U.S. should first secure its borders to stem illegal immigration. "I would then prefer to see us come up with some way to let" immigrants here "pay a fine, pay a price, then learn English and get on a path to citizenship."
This is fascinating stuff. On the one side, we have politicians across the board who are deaf to the demands of AMERICANS who want these illegal invaders rounded up and sent home, want our borders secured, and our national sovereignty enforced.
On the other side, we have politicians admitting that a plan to send everyone a check for $100 for gas "doesn't have popular support".
So, apparently, we have a political class with selective hearing. I suggest this: Every politician who is up for re-election this year who suppports the invaders should be booted out of office. Then we can ask the remaining Washington elites "Can you hear us now!!??" And, we can keep booting them out of office until they get the picture - they serve at OUR pleasure - NOT that of illegal invaders!!!!

Exactly..........truly a day without illegal aliens would be celebrated by 99% of the citizens of this nation. (excluding Drunken Teddy, McCain, Feidgold and the rest of the whores in Washington)

Same here, and I live in the mid-west. It was very odd. It reminded me of the libs and their "not one damn dime day." They stock up on everything the day before they're going to "take down" our economy with their "boycott." Dumbest thing I've ever heard/seen.
We've had a large influx in our area over the last few years and we often frequent and enjoy their many restaurants where only Hispanics are employed. I guess we don't really know whether they are all here legally or not, but if they are closed today we will never go to their establishments again, regardless.

"...others will protest ..."
Protest what?
The fact that they are illegal?

"Well my garbage truck came by this am with two Mexicans hanging off the back." Who threw away 2 perfectly good Mexicans?
Sorry, could not resist. Hard working, strong family values but they hurt themselves by entering the country illegally, refusing to learn English, and government and the private sector encourage this by offering taxpayer subsidized services and jobs with artificially low wages.

How is it that ILLEGAL ALIENS are the voice for ALL IMMIGRANTS? This is propaganda at it's finest. How is it that those who have come here legally through Ellis Island now are considered immigrant brethren with those who have come here with no permission...no immunization...no skills or clue?
This is a rally to force our pu$$ie government into giving them a free pass and benefits because many of these idiots in the rally think that immigrants laws should not apply to them because they are native to North America not to mention the fact that their numbers have reached a critical mass.
This is going to be mob rule and thuggery. The organizing idiot is calling for "unconditional" citizenship for the illegals and he wants no boarder restrictions so the illegals can keep coming in to get their free citizenship of course. Why? Because they are native to North America, Whitey is not. With that they have rights that are inalienable. A God given right! This is what is going on here folks. You think I am nuts?
America is in deep trouble. This is only the beginning of mob rule and God knows the last thing real Americans want is trouble. God help this country because our government certainly hasn't.

A day without illegals is like a day without constipation.
A day without IMMIGRANTS is actually 365 per year, since the illegals overburden our system to such an extent that we can't GET immigrants we want because the illegal invaders keep stealing their spots.
Got a message for the intruders: screw you.

So far, the only thing I noticed here in Austin, TX is that my commute took me 15 minutes instead of the usual 30+.
If this is what it's like when all the illegals stay home? Then we REALLY need to build that G*DD**M Wall....
LA county statistics published in the LA Times the other day…
Illegals working in agriculture: 3%
Illegals receiving welfare: 29%
Illegals living in HUD housing: 79%
LA county alone spends $9 billion a year on social services for illegals.
But they are only here to do the jobs lazy American Welfare recipients won't do right?
