I seem to recall much the same thing being said about the threat from Iraq. The problem is that in the case of Iran, where preemptive action is far more pressing and justified, the West will be far more hesitant to act given what's played out in Iraq.
Which will give Israel all the more reason to act. I wouldn't be shocked if Iran already declared war on Israel sometime in the past. The statements by the Iranian President, in addition to the statements made by the Ayatollah (Supreme Leader, right?) are surely enough to warrent a military response by Israel. Probably even a declaration of war. The entire non-US/Israel UN already hates Israel. Just how much consideration do you think Israel will give their objections when the very fate of their country is at stake? Not much. The only real questions now are will we be there with them and just how far will they take this thing. I just hope that afterwards, the Patriot Missles will work better than they did during the gulf war.
The west will be more hesitant to act.
And, this has put the USA in more jeopardy.
It will take another 911 before we will act to protect our selves, it would be very hard for the President or the congress to be preemptive at this stage.
The only way to stop Iran will be through Israel, and I would think greater heads are working on this presently, or, I sure hope so in any event.
What has played out and is playing out in Iraq is not the problem making America impotent in the face of imminent danger, it is what has occurred here in America with the obstruction and outright seditious behavior by democraps and their clintonista operatives moled away in the Defense and Intelligence communities. Our war against terrorism lacks one crucial component to succeed ... voting so damn many democraps out of office that the party ceases to exists and commit their treasonous crap, or the dregs change into a pro-America party.
