Public approval of President George W. Bush continues to decline. Today, for the third time in two weeks, the President's Job Approval Rating has fallen to the lowest level ever measured by Rasmussen Reports.
Just 37% of Americans now give the President their Approval, only 16% Strongly Approve. Even among Republicans, approval has tumbled and is currently measured at 66%. For most of his first term, Bush earned Approval Ratings in the high 80s from Republicans.
At the other end of the spectrum, 62% Disapprove including 45% who Strongly Disapprove. Those figures are also the bleakest for President Bush ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports.

Gas prices?
Well, this is just silly. It can't "continue to decline" with every poll. Actually, 37% is a lot higher than some of the polls that have been posted recently.
More good news out of Iraq would be nice.
Or how about putting up some graphs on tv (after 5pm please most of us work) talking up the economy.
well... I guess people can't say now that it is the biased MSM polls. He's definitely free falling. The faster Snow can assume his position the better....
As I've said before, the fact this president gets no credit for the good economy just proves his admin. is terrible in the PR wars.
Not only is Bush a bad communicator, but so is everyone else around him. With the exception of Tony Snow, who just showed up. They need to get him out there ASAP- and they need to give him a lot of leeway to do things his own way, because clearly the "Bush method of communication" has been a total failure.
Have the MSM report news honestly.
Yes, Bush could have turned this around 10 months ago, but there was no sense of urgency.
Now with a Rove indictment probable and a hostile, gleeful press, I don't know.
Best bet: someone will overplay their hand and Bush will use that to begin a comeback.
I keep wondering why this is relevant. Clinton's poll numbers were in the 60's when he was impeached.
The admin PR team isn't completely to blame. The MSM regularly covers up, twists, and otherwise makes mincemeat out of the good news.
Even with the polls...I'd love to know what small % of people were interviewed..and what part of the country/state/city. The MSM and polling companies have had it in for 'W' since the beginning. It wouldn't surprise me if they zoned in on ultra liberal areas for results.

I hope the President doesn't hold his breath waiting for that!
Its relevant because if we lose the mid terms and the Democrats take over the Congress look for multiple investigates as well as censure and impeachment proceedings.
Rove indicment probable? On what charges and where did you hear this?
I'm surprised that it's as high as it is, him giving away the country and all.
Oh man, I find it hard to believe that EVERY single polling firm has it in for the administration. Both Fox and Rasmussen show Bush at his lowest ratings.
Oh, that's why he wasn't picked by the Texans.
No, not unless he discovers a cure for cancer. The immigration issue is cutting in to his base. He needs to deal with this NOW, and not deal with it through BS amnesty plans and heartfelt chats with Vicente Fox.

I think the President and his team are all about momentum. He tends to dial in and starts steadily building momentum about 6 months before an election. I believe they have set up the foundation they need, added fresh new players...and things will start to turn around by the end of May.
I am going out on a limb to predict that his approval ratings in November will be very close to the approval ratings he had going into the 2004 election. And that we will pick up seats.
Gas prices that are hurting him right at the moment, and then the perception of Iraq.
Any idea how to determine their polling demographics? It may prove eye-opening.
