You have nailed it. The lack of response to the public disobedience and violation of law will come back to bite them in the a@@.
They better be prepared for more of the same and worse.

The guy in the video says he will not vote for Republicans and quotes Liberal junk polls. It is time to stop the pandering to illegals, there is nothing for us to gain from doing so.

If we kick them out and/or fine & jail all employers we catch hiring illegals they will leave. No matter what illegals say about what we do and how they will react to it, even if we dragged them back over the border by their toe nails, they would line up to come back in by the millions.

We hold all the cards, it is time to call their bluff and state harsh criminal penalties to anyone in the country illegally after June 1, 2006.

It would be a mad race to the border. Make examples out of some during the time leading up to June 1, 2006 to make sure they get the point. Like I said, they would line up to come back in by the millions, even if it meant being beaten upon entry, they would still come. I don't recommend we beat them, I'm only making a point in saying so.

All Lou Dobbs is doing...is pointing out the obvious. None of the major networks really want to tackle this issue. Its ok to put a 2-minute update on the air...but when you start to explain the whole picture to people...the network will typically stop you. CNN apparently hasn't done anything to halt Dobbs...which is surprising. The fact that he is keeping this issue alive...and elections are in November...I'd be thinking of how this will become the number one issue for the campaigns. You could have several senators kicked out based on their limited response to the issue...and avoiding a national confrontation of immigration.

The most active of these sad folks, however, are the conflict junkies, who just get off on being contrarian, and whose personality disorder has left them with few real-world friends or other social outlets...hence an Internet message board like FR. Seeing that they're in the smallest minority (per the various FR polls), likely just feeds their feelings of "specialness".

Very good post, I can think of a few of them.

Yes. If we annex Mexico, we'll have a much smaller border issue. We'd have lots of oil, beachfront, and lots of laborers Not a bad idea. :-)

>>There is no shortage. As it is, we're in one of the country's largest benders in its entire history. Illegal immigration hasn't taken the place of legal immigration, it has taken place on top of high legal immigration levels.<<

I wanted to come back with the total annual legal immigration so we could talk about the number but I can't seem to find it totalled in one place.

To those who really observe what's going on, it's blatantly obvious that the end goal here is FAR more ambitious than just a few "rights." They think the southwest U.S. is theirs, and our goofy government has allowed this nonsense to progress to its current stage. Heck, no wonder they think they can pull off a coup of sorts; they basically have free run of our border and our government has for years shown almost no concern as they continued to pour in. Couple that inaction with the fact that our entire society is cripped by political correctness that absolutely prevents any real dialog about the seriousness of the problem, and you have a recipe for the serious mess we now face.

It is unconscionable that our leaders have sat back and done nothing in the face of what is essentially an invasion.

Whatever you want to do with it. It is written by David Stoddard, and it is a OPEN Letter to Senator Frist. YOu should at least give Stoddard the credit for writing it.

It would not hurt to have every congresscritters to have a copy of it.

The gutless, cowardly, spineless, balless US Congress doesn't have the collective will to get it done. And I'm not so sure the president does, either, what with his 'close, personal relationship' with Fox.

Lou Dobbs is the only one on CNN that I will even watch. He is better than FNC by a long shot on the illegal invader mess.

The notion of stopping the illegals from sending money back to Mexico would inspire the corrupt Mexican govt. to advocate more "aggressive" protests ie violence in the streets .

While the people of this country would demand the rounding up & deportation of anyone even suspected of being illegal you can feel safe in betting your next paycheck that the powers that be in the Congress would sell out this nation in a heart beat.

That would sure fit with the historical record of the actions of our "representative" politicians.

I don't believe you. Find a transcript or article supporting your statement. Since 9/11 Lou Dobbs has been consistant about securing our borders and I'm happy as hell to have anyone from the media being vocal about the ramifications of illegal immigration.

I dont have to show you anything ,you make my point exactly when you said since 9/11 he has been touting this ,thank you.
I am 56 years old and I am on the road eveyday doing office machine repair and have listened to talk radio long before Rush and Bob Grant in New York was predicting this mess for 30 years and was called every epiphet you can imagine .I am sorry If this offends you and I can say I to constantly am looking for someone on the national scene to speak some sanity to this issue but Lou Dobbs is a little late and he just uses this and every other issue to clobber Bush.

I hope you are wrong that Dobbs just wants to use the immigration issue to clobber Bush with. He seems to be sincere to me, but even if it is true, I don't really care because Bush deserves to be clobbered over it. Our borders should have been secured before 9/11, but it is unforgivable that Bush and Congress didn't secure them afterwards.

I agree with you that Bush should be clobbered about his position on illegal immigration ,I just dont want to hear it from leftists that have created this mess in the first place .
Its like getting lectured by democrats on the high price of oil ,when for the last 30 years all they have been trying to do is eactly that raise the price of oil so people will drive less to save the enviornment. Now that the price is 3.00 a gallon they scream its the republicans fault.
If there was a democrat in the White house I guarantee you Lou Dobbs would be telling you how valuable these immigrants are to our culture.
