In Florida, first-time drug offenders usually get a deal similar to Rush's while using public defenders. The offenders get a chance to have their charges dropped if they enroll in a drug treatment plan for a period of time.

It seems that Roy Black, one the best lawyers in the nation and Florida, got for Rush the same deal that public offenders get for their clients. Something does not make sense.

I suspect that Roy Black proposed this deal unless he knew that the prosecutor has something solid on Rush.
