(DISCLAIMER: It's a Novak article, which means it's a tempest in a teacup no matter how important the author thinks it is. It's just that old coot again trying to stir up more crap.)

My view on evangelical Christians is that although I don't expect them to leave their faith at the door before they venture into the voting booth, I'd like to remind them that their Bible shows that their Savior was perfectly capable of spreading his Gospel when the government of Palestine was run by morbid Pagans who practiced witchcraft, blood sacrifice, and threw Christians to the lions for sport. Despite all of that, Christianity flourished.

By comparison, do the Mormons *really* sound so bad to Evangelicals that they couldn't vote for one to defend the US Constitution?

If it's *really* come to that, then I do believe that it's come time that Evangelical Christians need to find unclaimed territory somewhere outside of international law and start their own society devoid of contact with the outside world.
