Frankly, my misgivings about a Romney presidency have nothing to do with his being Mormon (all theological misgivings aside). For me, it isn't about the party affiliation, so much as it's about the values. Being a "Republican" politician in a New England state IMO isn't much different than being a Democrat just about anywhere else - and that goes double for Massachusetts. Bad enough he's a politician there - being the governor of that state is a double strike against him!
If it came down to a choice between Romney and Hillary, my first inclination would be to vote Romney - simply because we've already experienced a Hillary White House for eight long years.
I agree completely. I have friends in that part of the country, and they're great people, but I'm sure they don't understand life in 'fly-over country'. The fact that I live in a very sake rural Texas area but I still cherish the right to carry a gun where ever I go. The fact that it's ok to talk religion with a stranger. These are just little things that the Gov would never understand.
