Well, to be seen as a necessary part of everything sinister one needs to have built a reputation first. Otherwise it cheapens the whole exercise. For example, the weather/earthquake/tsunami machine is normally associated with Karl Rove, sometimes with Dick Cheney - but would anyone seriously link it to the lesser beings like, say, ordinary FReepers?
There have been some very startling revelations on FR today. Earlier there was a press release from the LP announcing that one of the reasons full costs are so high are fuel taxes. They apparently just discovered this.
