Jefferson had slaves, failed to manumet the majority of them, knowingly extended the "peculiar institution" through the southern half of the Louisiana Purchase (according to biographer Hitchens), and sexually abused his underage slave.

Do you "deeply admire" Thomas Jefferson? I do, but not all parts. Would criticize me if my posting name were "Thomas Jefferson?" I think not.

Would you grant me the space to admire parts of the legacy of General Nathan Bedford Forrest?
