I am surprised that it got this reaction. When was the last time immigration did sweeps? 50's? 60's? Of course, the schools lose federal money based on attendance. Hey, if we funded American kids and those legally in America, then the tax-pie slices wouldn't have to be so small.

I don't know if this qualifies as an "immigration sweep"...but here
in Columbia, MO, my brother said that the local builders have told him
that they get immigrations officers at the worksites (unannounced)
2-3 times a year.

Might account for the VERY FEW Hispanics/Latinos in this area; they probably
move onto other places like Socialist Haven St. Louis.

Funny, we have had a decent building boom here...with Americans doing
jobs that Dubya says they won't do!
