Talk about a Hobsons choice

I phoned friends in New Orleans yesterday. They explained that while Nagin said some outlandish things, the people running against him were terrible. They could never vote for Landreau in particular. I guess Nagin will win. Sounds like they are far more upset with the governor than Nagin.

Mitch Landrieu is already Lt. Governor....and he knows that people are really mad at Blanco, as well as Nagin...

Why didn't he run for Governor, instead of NO Mayor??

Do you know..or do you think your friends could speculate about that??

I am curious...because it seems more of a natural progression to go from Lt. Gov. to Gov.....than from Lt. Gov. of a state...down to a local position of Mayor.
