"There are rumors that they (Zinni and some other generals)are urging Powell to run for President in 2008"

I came across a blog and posted it to the Sunday a.m. Talk Show Thread a few weeks back. It's a group that are 'progressive dems' and are trying to show they are 'security-minded' by getting dems who have served in the military or security services in various elected positions (we need to watch and counter these).
They want to draft Zinni for Pres.

Thanks for the links. They prove that Zinni has political ambitions. I attended a briefing he gave at CENTCOM. He has a collossal ego and views himself as something of a Middle East expert and procounsul. He is neither.
