About 18 or 19 years ago, I saw this show on Australian tv called Beyond 2000.
Beyond 2000 was a very popular show in Australia.
It ran from 85 to 99.
The show was about new inventions and new technologies.
One show was about this American engineer who invented a self powering generator which didn't run on oil.
I dont remember what it ran on. It might have been an electric generator.
What stood out. When the generator would need to be recharged, the guy would just spin this pedal on the generator and the generator would immediately be at full power.
It was amazing.
The guy who invented this, said he could build cars with this generator and heat houses with it.
He tried to get a patent for his invention, but the patient company wouldn't give him one.
I remember he said in the show, he told the Patient company when they use the generator to not ground it.
When the patent company tested his generator they would ground it and it wouldn't work to good.
The guy said they did this, so his generator would never get on the market.
The thing about electric cars, we all know the problem is they constantly have to be recharged.
Imagine if this guys generator was built in an electric car.
This generator could go forever to charge the motor and batteries.
You wouldn't ever need to recharge the batteries.
What I also remember, the guy had some type of voltage regulator on the generator, so you would know when to spin the pedal to recharge it.
I'm sure now with computer technology, there would be a way where you wouldn't have to spin any pedal to recharge it.
You would just click on something and it would automatically spin the pedal to recharge it.
