On the news today I heard a report that illegals using stolen ID and SSN #'s for work. [could be yours, could be mine, they belong to some poor unassuming individual]

Big businesses know these numbers are stolen in some cases but are unafraid as none have been fined, penalized or even questioned since the IRS is not allowed to report these discrepancies to DHS based on something called Section 6103 of the IRS code. Absurd!!

A rookie police officer, with only weeks on the job, crossed paths with the would-be terrorist who is charged with plotting to bomb the Herald Square subway station. Beginning in November 2002, the undercover officer made visits to an Islamic bookstore in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and said he listened to the store clerk, Shahawar Matin Siraj, 23, predict further attacks on New York City, possibly on Wall Street.


The officer, who testified yesterday at Mr. Siraj's trial in Brooklyn federal court under a pseudonym, Kamil Pasha, retold of conversations that suggest that Mr. Siraj drew satisfaction from tragedies ranging from suicide bombings in Israel to the loss of the space shuttle Columbia.


This snapshot of Mr. Siraj contradicts what the defense has maintained since the trial began four weeks ago. His legal team has sought to show that Mr. Siraj transformed into a would-be subway bomber from a mild-mannered young man after 2003. Around that time, Mr. Siraj met an older man who was employed by the police department as a confidential informant.

Mr. Siraj's lawyers say the police informant pushed Mr. Siraj to hate America, entrapping him into plotting against the subway station at 34th Street. If convicted, Mr. Siraj faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Recently, Atef Adwan, the minister of refugees of the Palestinian Hamas government, gave a speech in Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden. The speech was delivered during the fourth international conference, concerning the right of Palestinian refugees to return to a free Palestine. According to the Swedish daily paper Sydsvenskan, Adwan made the following remark: “By allowing me to travel here the Swedish government is sending a clear message to our people that somebody is at our side.”

Perhaps he is right. That a representative of the Hamas terrorist organization chose to begin his European tour by visiting Sweden, and that he was given a visa to do so, is telling of the soft mentality among European socialist governments towards terrorism. Swedish politics is full of similar examples. Two members of the Swedish Parliament have recently attempted to invite the group leader of Hamas, Salah Mohammed al-Bardawil, to the Swedish Parliament. The fact that Hamas is a terrorist organization with the blood of innocent civilians on its hands does not seem to bother the politicians too much.

Indeed, as the September elections draw closer, it seems as if the Swedish left are openly embracing radical Islamic groups. Recently, Swedish public television revealed that the leading Social Democratic party has started fishing for votes with the help of radical Muslims clergies. For several years the Christian wing of the Social Democratic party, called The Brotherhood, has been working with the influential Muslim leader Mahmoud Aldebe, president of Sweden’s Muslim Association.

But the new ally of the Social Democrats is anything but democratic. Already in 1999, Aldebe went on radio proposing that Sharia – the Islamic law – be introduced in Sweden."

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Alexander Acosta, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Jesus Torres, Special Agent in Charge, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Daniel F. Willkens, Acting Director, Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Robert E. Harris, Special Agent in Charge, Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Southeast Field Office, today announced a guilty plea in a significant plot to export U.S. missiles and military aircraft engines to China.

Defendant, Ko-Suen Moo, of Taipei, Taiwan, today pled guilty to being a covert agent of the People's Republic of China, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 951; conspiracy to broker and to export defense articles to the People's Republic of China, including one F-16 aircraft engine, Blackhawk helicopter engines, cruise missiles and air-to-air missiles, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 371 and Title 22, United States Code, Section 2778; and bribery of a public official, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 201(b)(1)(A).

“The fact that this individual was plotting to purchase advanced U.S. cruise missiles for a foreign government is truly alarming. This case demonstrates, in the clearest terms possible, the need to protect sensitive U.S. technology from illegal foreign acquisition," said Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "ICE is proud to have worked with its federal law enforcement partners to thwart this dangerous plot."

United States Attorney R. Alexander Acosta stated, "The illegal export of military technology and equipment threatens our national security in the most direct way. Moo both threatened our national security by illegally negotiating the purchase of F-16 and Blackhawk engines, air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground missiles for delivery to the People's Republic of China, and, when caught, tried to undermine our system of justice by attempting to buy his way of jail. Thanks to the hard work of the agencies involved, both plots failed and Moo will face a lengthy term of imprisonment. American security and justice are simply not up for sale."

DCIS Acting Director Daniel F. Willkens said, "The illegal export of U.S. military technology and weapons is one of the most significant and growing threats to our national security. This investigation highlights the achievements of the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, in cooperation with Federal law enforcement and intelligence agency partners, in countering these threats. DCIS will continue to relentlessly pursue those who steal and illegally export our sensitive technology, to ensure that America's Warfighters maintain their tactical and strategic advantage around the world."

Sentencing has not yet been scheduled by U.S. District Court Judge Donald Graham. At sentencing, Moo faces a maximum term of imprisonment of five (5) years on the conspiracy count, a maximum term of ten (10) years on the charge of failing to register as a foreign agent, and fifteen (15) years on the bribery count. He also faces fines totaling $2 million. In addition, he has agreed to forfeit his interest in approximately $350,000 that was seized during the investigation of this case.

Missile / Aircraft Engine Plot:

According to in-court statements during the change of plea hearing, since at least February, 2004, Moo and others had been negotiating for the acquisition of numerous defense articles for illegal delivery to the People's Republic of China. These items included F-16 engines, Blackhawk helicopter engines, AIM 120 air-to-air missiles and AGM-129 air-to-ground cruise missiles.

During the negotiations for this equipment, Moo traveled to the United States on two occasions. During one of these trips, Moo actually inspected an F-16 aircraft engine and wire transferred $140,000 to cover transportation fees for the delivery of the F-16 engine to an airstrip located inside the People's Republic of China.

During the change of plea hearing, prosecutors stated that on numerous occasions during the course of the conspiracy and even after his arrest, Moo told cooperating witnesses that he was an operative working at the direction and control of the People's Republic of China.

He further disclosed that the acquisition of the F-16 engine was to be a test purchase, which if successful, would commence a long-term relationship during which Moo, on behalf of the People's Republic of China, would acquire other items -- including Blackhawk helicopter engines and air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles. At present, the United States does not sell restrictive military equipment to the People's Republic of China.

Bribery Attempt:

According to documents and statements made in court, after his arrest on the underlying arms charges, Moo engaged in conversation with two inmates at the Federal Detention Center regarding Moo's ability to bribe his way out of jail and obtain dismissal of the underlying arms charges. Specifically, Moo agreed to pay a bribe to an Assistant United States Attorney and a federal judge for his supposed release from custody and dismissal of the pending charges. Unbeknownst to Moo, however, the two inmates had contacted law enforcement and alerted them to Moo's plan.

This separate obstruction investigation led to the return of a superseding indictment charging Moo with, among other things, bribery of a public official. Moo actually wire transferred $199,985 as part of a $500,000 pay off to an unnamed public official in anticipation of his supposed release and dismissal of the charges.

Mr. Acosta commended the investigative efforts of the ICE and the Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Allyson Fritz, Daniel L. Rashbaum, Jacqueline Arango and William Healy, with assistance from the Counterespionage Section of the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice.

ICE agents take custody of another violent street gang member


HOUSTON - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Monday took into custody Paul Orozco-Moreno, 18, an illegal alien from Mexico and an admitted gang member, from the Montgomery County Sheriff's office.

Sheriff's deputies originally arrested Orozco-Moreno April 21 for burglary and possessing marijuana. He was convicted and sentenced to 45 days in juvenile jail for his crimes. As standard operating procedure regarding criminal aliens and gang members, ICE placed a “detainer” on Orozco-Moreno to ensure that he would be released into ICE custody, instead of being released to the streets.

During his interview in Montgomery County Jail, Orozco-Moreno admitted to ICE agents that he was a member of the violent Mexican Surenos street gang. He had several gang-related tattoos on his chest and back with the numbers “13” and “187.” He also had a number of tattoos under his eyes.

“This arrest exemplifies our commitment to work closely with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, and to use every available tool at our disposal to bring these violent criminals to justice,” said Special Agent in Charge Robert P. Rutt. “We refuse to allow these criminals hide in the United States and place our children and our communities in danger.”

Orozco-Moreno's arrest is part of ICE's Operation Community Shield (OCS), which began in March 2005. Since then more than 2,800 violent foreign-born criminal aliens have been identified, arrested and deported from the United States. The gang affiliations ICE has arrested include: MS 13, Surenos, Vatos, Latin Kings, and other gangs.

Under OCS, ICE has gathered thousands of names of known and suspected gang members from state and local law enforcement. ICE also collects lists of known gang members from our partners in foreign governments and local law enforcement. These names are compared against the agency's immigration and law enforcement databases to determine their immigration status and criminal background. Inquiries from state and local offices are also run through ICE's Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC), which also accesses ICE immigration databases.

Orozco-Moreno has been placed into removal proceedings and will be sent back to his native Mexico. Re-entering the United States after having been deported is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison.

This arrest is part of the Department of Homeland Security's Secure Border Initiative (SBI), a comprehensive multi-year plan to secure America's borders and reduce illegal migration. Under SBI, Homeland Security seeks to gain operational control of both the northern and southern borders, while re-engineering the detention and removal system to ensure that illegal aliens are removed from the country quickly and efficiently. SBI also involves strong interior enforcement efforts, including enhanced worksite enforcement investigations and intensified efforts to track down and remove illegal aliens inside this country.

"Shooting Closes San Diego Border Crossing"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "SAN DIEGO (AP) - The world's busiest border crossing reopened early Friday following a nine-hour closure that occurred after federal authorities shot and killed the driver of a car headed for Mexico, officials said.

The driver, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, said Maurice Luque, a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. No other injuries were reported.


U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents began following a black sport utility vehicle after somebody reported seeing it pick up suspected illegal immigrants near the U.S. side of the Otay Mesa border crossing, said Lt. Kevin Rooney of San Diego Police Department.


As traffic backed up near the border, the vehicle stopped on the shoulder. When agents approached, the suspect "began to drive off and he veered hard to the left, trying to get back in traffic," Rooney said. Two agents then opened fire, he said."

According to the Times of London, the London-based Invicta is taking advantage of British tax rules to provide Sony with £100 million of the £114 million that the movie reportedly cost. The capital allows Sony to dramatically reduce its cost of borrowing money to producer and market the movie.

The Da Vinci Code movie qualified for an outgoing regime of tax breaks because it was partially shot in the United Kingdom. The British government is phasing out the tax incentives because of allegations of abuse.

Mohammed Yusef, chairman of the advisory firm Invicta Capital, has said: "We are delighted to have successfully concluded the largest-ever film sale and leaseback in the UK. The Da Vinci Code is a very exciting film and we have seen strong demand from our clients looking to invest in it."

According to the Times, Invicta buys the entire movie from Sony with its money then leases it back to the producer. Invicta covers its £100 million investment by raising cash from wealthy investors, usually in amounts ranging from £2 million to £3 million. Sony will then guarantee these individual investments by providing a steady stream of payments over a 15-year period. This allows the investors to defer tax bills running into hundreds of thousands of pounds, and even have access to some of their investment money before the tax bills finally come due.

The British government thus is helping Mohammed to conduct a jihad against Christians by promoting the Bible bashing, anti-Christian propaganda in The Da Vinci Code."

DHAKA -An Islamic militant leader accused of waging a bloody bombing campaign to impose Islamic laws in Bangladesh told a court he ordered the murder of two judges because it was Allah’s will, police said on Tuesday.
“The judges were murdered at the instruction of Allah. We should be rewarded, not punished for following the order of killing judges,” Shaikh Abdur Rahman was quoted as saying by investigating officer Munshi Atiqur Rahman....

At least 28 people, including lawyers, policemen and four suicide bombers, have been killed since last August in the attacks.

“Those who are engaged in man-made courts, especially lawyers, police and judges, will be punished in the court of Allah,” added Rahman, who was appearing in court in the southern town of Jhalokathi on Monday.

“Murder to those who are against Allah’s law,” he was quoted as saying.

The group wanted to overturn the country’s existing secular legal system dating back to the British colonial period and replace it with Islamic law.

"Shock in Berlin as suspected rapists freed"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BERLIN - Four youths suspected of gang-raping a 16-year-old schoolgirl in a Berlin park last week have been released after briefly being detained by police in a move which has fuelled anger in the German capital.

The youths, aged 13 to 15, allegedly attacked their victim as she walked home from school in the Charlottenburg district which is generally seen as safe area with low crime rates.

While allegedly gang-raping the girl, the youths are reported to have filmed the sexual attack with a mobile phone camera. Media reports say the four later boasted about the rape to other school children and sent copies of the video to friends.

Police who detained the four earlier this week have so far not found any film footage of the alleged rape. There is suspicion the video pictures may have been erased and mobile phones of the suspects are being analysed by experts in a bid to retrieve any pictures.

"This brutal rape has shocked Germany," said a commentary in Berlin's B.Z. newspaper.
Adding to the potential explosiveness of the alleged rape is the fact that the four suspects are all the children of immigrant families, while the victim is German."
