Thank you...
I am flying to Fort Benning on Wednesday to see my sons grad from Boot...he then is off to Airborne -> Rangers - >SF...or so it is planned by him.
He too particpated in the pre-enlistment training and entered as PV2...
Since arriving at Benning on Jan 3...he has bulked up 25 pounds...from 155...
Be prepared for a roller coaster of emotion as you cycle through the process...
Good luck...
Good Luck! The Army was my choice too! During a unpopular war in 1968 at 18 yrs old, I joined the Army and served with pride and honor. I have no regrets and you will too!
God bless you.

Welcome. I'll keep my eyes open for you.
Congratulations, LJE, from this former infantryman. You'll reap a lifetime of rewards, no matter how short your service.
Funny ;-)
"An army moves on its stomach"
"Army of One" is actually about empowering the individual warrior, or the individual sqaud, etc., with the capabilities truly neded for the mission, AND the ability to sense and respond/adapt to a dynamic warfare environment.
It is a tangible a useful poriton of the reforms Rummy has led.
A lot of the retired critics are upset with the changes, and that's just too bad.
