He's an old hippie and he don't know what to do
Should he hang on to the old
Should he grab on to the new
He's an old hippie...his new life is just a bust
He ain't trying to change nobody
He's just trying real hard to adjust

Was it Dana Carvey who said that all Neil Young songs sound the same?
To: slowhand520
Well the folk scene is dead
But he's holding out in the village
He's been writing songs speaking out
Against wealth and privilege
He says 'I dont believe in money
But a man could make him a killin'
Cause some of that stuff don't sound
Much different than Dylan
I hear down there it's changed you see
They're not as backwards as they used to be
He's gone country, look at them boots
He's gone country, but to his roots
He's gone country, a new kind of suit
He's gone country, here he comes

I dunno - I see Neil as an idiot younger brother who always manages to get it wrong but say it well. About impeaching the President I couldn't care less - I hear stupider things than that coming from conservative friends. I am, however, disappointed to learn that he'd have anything to do with rap.

He's 60 years old and doesn't look a day over 90.

Neil Yuk.
He's about as smart as that guitar solo on "Southern Man" is complicated.
da da da da da da da da ... da da da
In fact, he plays like a 3-year old.

It's time that AC/DC come back with more anti-big government, anti-democrat songs. And Ted Nugent...Kid Rock...Alice Cooper.

How famous can a sports writer in Canada be? What the Color guy for Curling? Nice to see his son stayed out of Rehab long enough to make another protest album.

Out on the weekend
Think Ill pack it in and buy a pick-up
Take it down to l.a.
Find a place to call my own and try to fix up.
Start a brand new day.
The woman Im thinking of, she loved me all up
But Im so down today
Shes so fine, shes in my mind.
I hear her callin.
See the lonely boy, out on the weekend
Trying to make it pay.
Cant relate to joy, he tries to speak and
Cant begin to say.
She got pictures on the wall, they make me look up
From her big brass bed.
Now Im running down the road trying to stay up
Somewhere in her head.
The woman Im thinking of, she loved me all up
But Im so down today
Shes so fine shes in my mind.
I hear her callin.
See the lonely boy, out on the weekend
Trying to make it pay.
Cant relate to joy, he tries to speak and
Cant begin to say.

the whole thing is a classic beautiful protest recordIn the unlikely event it actually is, it would be the first because there is no such other record.
