To DannyTN, and anyone else who'd like to comment:

If we successfully attacked Iran and managed to destroy their nuclear capability as well as set the stage for a successful overthrow of the mullahs in government, what do you think the effect would be on Syria? I hear that things are very tenuous for Bashar Assad. I also hear that Syria is essentially Iran's mini-me, wholly supported by the Iranians. Could a destruction of the Mullahs cause a domino effect that would take down Assad as well? What do you think?

I've never heard that Syria is supported by Iran.

They do have a joint defense pact that was formed after we invaded Iraq. But I don't think Syria would do anything if we bombed Iran. Iran would be more likely to try to honor the pact if we invaded Syria.

I don't see Iran falling automatically toppling Syria. Unless Syria is actually stupid enough to try to honor the defense pact and comes to Iran's aid.
