Your approach would get our heroes killed, too. Your open warfare on Islamist-heavy Pakistan, which possesses nuclear weapons that can indeed reach our troops in Afghanistan, would not be pretty.

War's not pretty, Joe. I believe you and I are violently on the same side here. I just wish you'd try to view the good that's been done by some incredible folks, and not always focus on the negative.

No matter how much you, me or others in cyberspace know or don't know about the GWOT, most of us will never have any significant role other than as troop supporters. Some people on FR have been heroic in their efforts to support our troops through words and actions. But overall I think this forum has fallen far short of its potential. And I find that especially sad, given the stakes.

Coop, I have been told by folks from all over the world that most folks respect power.
The U.S. has the power and refuses to use it. Yes so many good folks in our military try so very hard and do make a difference but with our hands tied too many get killed while the enemy uses whatever dispicable means available.
I simply think that if your enemy refuses to abide by the geneva convention then the hell with them, kill them
however.
