#2. Quotas, quotas, quotas

Much to the detriment of ABC. Our local ABC affiliate has two black hosts delivering the early morning news -- Laurie Stokes (formerly with MSNBC) and Steve Bartlestein. Steve is quite professional whereas Laurie Stokes is unable to read a line without mangling it to a point that it's impossible to understand what she's reporting.

When she co-hosted on MSNBC we wondered if the woman was on drugs as her behavior had us scratching our heads. Today we're convinced either her political connections (related to former Congressman Stokes) or quotas is what keeps her in front of the cameras.
