A report on the local news last night said Duke is now 39 percent minority, which I find unbelieveable.
Not really: 20% Asian, 11% black, and 6% Latino gets you to 37% right there, plus maybe biracials and Native Americans, and 39% sounds right. Duke is very diverse racially, and while few of the students are poor, most are middle class.
