This is a big win for the Republicans come November--the Silent Majority which will never, ever say their true feelings at social engagements will just vote R because they think Republicans will be tougher on illegals than will Democrats.

It's that simple. I think these demonstrations are going to propel the Republicans to a larger majority solely because it's a GUT vote-issue. Add to that security and taxes, and the R's will have to try mighty hard to screw up a win in November.

Unless of course all the "true conservatives" sit on their hands in November...

How so? The leader of the republican party, George Bush, is the biggest backer of illegal immigration of them all.

Even the republicans in the senate are very luke warm about illegal immigrants. If anything, this will cost the republican senators in red states their job in novemeber.
