As I said, you need to go home and educate yourself. Your answer reveals that you are indeed living in a world of cliches and stereotypes.

After you finish patting yourself on the back for working in a hospital, go read some actual data-based research on the occurrence of domestic violence. And pay attention to the fact that many male victims not only do not report assaults, or seek treatment when they should, but also lie about the source of their injuries, out of shame, when they do go for treatment.

I have been pretty civil I think, without resorting to snide or sarcastic behavior. I work in a Radiology department, and we are usually the first to see this kind of thing. They send them to us first, usually before they go anywhere else.

So yes, I do have first hand experience. And I am proud of the work I do. I don't get my all of my data from some sociology professor, from the Internet, or from a drinking buddy, although I do examine that information and take it into account.

I understand the points about males not reporting and such and agree with them, but to say women are more likely than men to be violent, chronic batterers is just not true.

Please try to keep it civil.
