You know what always amuses me? You get sent to a domestic, the woman's nose is swollen up like a tomato and blood running down her face. When you ask her what happened she says her dear hubby bashed her in the mush and she wants him locked up.

You ask Killer why he bashed his woman in the mush and he says "The bitch had it comin'".

So, she signs the domestic violence affidavit and you start cuffing him up.

Next thing you know she's juming on your back hitting you and screaming "don't take him to jail, I love him."

Then you ask the silly question "Well, why did you sign the affidavit?" And she tells you that she just wanted us to scare him.

I have been pretty civil I think, without resorting to snide or sarcastic behavior. I work in a Radiology department, and we are usually the first to see this kind of thing. They send them to us first, usually before they go anywhere else.

So yes, I do have first hand experience. And I am proud of the work I do. I don't get my all of my data from some sociology professor, from the Internet, or from a drinking buddy, although I do examine that information and take it into account.

I understand the points about males not reporting and such and agree with them, but to say women are more likely than men to be violent, chronic batterers is just not true.

Please try to keep it civil.
