There once was a thread on FR...
Seriesly (most of our jokes come from unintentional misspellings that continue to haunt the perpetrator for years)
A thread was posted years ago that started the beeber joke. I finally bookmarked it so I could reference it: Would like freeper help (origin of beeber)
Ever since that day, we've all been stuned at some point or another...

Sure, link back to your original. Is it newsworthy? Or is it a canned response. Then, consider, what good would a canned response be on the forum? We all know the MO of libs. Posting is not cut and dried. If you think your canned reply is worthy, then post it. But, it'll probably be moved to chat. Just because we have heard their pathetic responses a zillion times. If you get a unique response, then, it's probably newsworthy. The 'ho hum' replies will be chatted.

As far as I know, that's where they were all along.

There are some blogs out there worthy of news, like Little Green Footballs. Can I ask about this topic? I agree with this sentence -- most blogs aren't great, and we don't want them cluttering up the main page.
And on the other hand, a few of them are much better and much more important than anything in the MSM. Michael Yon's blog comes to mind. So does "The Belmont Club" by our own Wretchard.
So if I want to post something from one of these top-quality blogs, does it make sense to do it in News/Activism?

Dang -- that's some picture.

I post editorials from the
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review almost every week. The Trib requires excerpting and linking.
Here's the rub, most Trib editorials are under 300 words and excerpting guidelines allow up to 300 words.
When posting, I drop a sentence or two and post the remainder of the editorial as an excerpt.
Usually this seems to satisfy the moderators, but on one or two occasions my post has been altered by a moderator to an "auto excerpt" which leaves one or two random paragraphs as the final post.
Is this a "grey" area or do you have a preference that I should conform to?
:)
