Hey, we're missing a great opportunity here.

Congress could pass a "temporary amnesty" law requiring illegals to sign up with certified validation of their employment for every job they've held in the past fifteen years. Then get them all to come to a big fiesta to celebrate their soon-to-be-legal status.

When the mariachi band starts to play and the piñata is dropped (may I suggest a Fox or a Mexican flag), ten thousand border patrol agents round them all up, bus them to the other side of the Rio Grande, and issue arrest warrants for all the felonious employers. Two birds, one stone.

Think of the billions we'll save every year ($87 at last count)...which could then be applied to tax breaks and higher wages for legitimate citizens.

I wonder if Dingy Harry can be dasholed like South Dakota did to little Tommy? That would be a very good message to send to politicians that support illegal alien amnesty schemes.

I saw George Allen on one of the FOXNews shows and he is completely with Tancredo on controlling our borders first, then talking about "handling" those here illegally. He called this Senate bill an amnesty and he did not support it. I liked him........I liked him alot.

I think a George Allen/Tancredo duo would be just about the ticket. I will vote for whomever is strongest on illegal immigration. That's how sick I am of feeling like my citizenship does not matter.

Sorry, I missed your response before - so far, Rice says she's not running for POTUS - we may never need to know her views on that. As for your "dream" President, the federal pardon power is limited to federal crimes. I don't think we need MORE violence in this fallen world.

Well, in a twisted sense, if the inalienable right to privacy is God-given, then I can at least understand where people who believe unborn children have no inalienable rights are coming from. \

If "the inalienable right to privacy" were recognized in any context other than a mother's right to kill her child, then we wouldn't have the "Patriot Act" or numerous other clearly invasive violations of our privacy.

Exactly what the hell does "privacy" have to do with KILLING? If no one is looking, can I kill off my guests, for example?

"Privacy" has become a buzzword meaning "abortion", period. Our real "right to privacy" has been so gutted as to be nonexistent -- yet, it's held high as a battleflag in the ongoing war against children -- primarily by hypocrites who pepper their twaddle with "for the children!" nonsense.

We are through the looking glass.

I agree with you - I hope you didn't think I was buying the abortion argument.

Now, let's get all the so-called business people to divest themselves of their illegal workers and put together business plans that use legal workers instead of criminal invaders

Isn't amazing the way the "Power of BS" has managed to magically morph a "guest worker program" into a fast-track CITIZENSHIP program for illegal invaders?

This was never about "guest workers" -- that was merely the LIE they used to nudge us along, to beat us over the head, to soften us up for what they really intended on doing to the country.

The bastards...

Oh, but he did -- and he is!

I say build a physical wall--a dual wall system--16 feet high. That's two feet higher than the Berlin Wall. We can use sensors to detect tunneling and beams to detect climbing. People have estimated the cost at $6.5 Billion. That's a bargain compared to increased border personnel.
