It is not the illegals that have the political power it is the businesses that want the lower wages. I don't like the bill, but I think it is better than McCain and Kennedy's bill. The border enforcement is a good start. Border enforcement and enforcement of the existing laws on employers are where to start IMO. I sincerely hopeful the border enforcement is meaningful, it looks like this country didn't even go through the motions back in '86 after the first amnesty, which really opened the floodgates, again IMO.
