My husband and I were out there for 11 days recently. I was never so glad to get back home to AL. The people here from other countries speak English well enough to be understood. I was tired to trying to explain what I was saying. I think they understood a lot more than they let on though.

The poll is trying to confuse SYMPATHY with agreement.
I can feel "sympathy" and still be 100% opposed to illegal aliens and amnesty.
The purpose of this poll is to make this a FEEEEEELing debate.
You can't debate FEEEEELings.
As long as illegals are ILLEGAl the fact will be a problem for the leftists.
To: immigration lady
You are correct there, It will not be pretty.

Seems to me, Dane, that a very minor amount of people keep bringing up race. And guess what? It is without fail, on YOUR side of the fence.

Nearly six out of 10 Californians support allowing illegal immigrants to become legal residents and continue living and working in the state. As long as they keep to their place in the economy.

"PS... I'm first generation - from LEGAL immigrants.
What my family went through to come here was worth it to them. To become a LEGAL CITIZEN of the USA.
If others don't think it's worth the trouble - they don't deserve the gift."
BINGO!!!
A legal immigrant and US citizen.

How does that make you feel? It's all about feelings, after all.

Dane, you may be a looney, world policing social engineer on foreign policy but on immigration, you are the voice of good sense.
To: bordergal
We Californians...legal immigrants, Republicans, Democrats and many other groups of citizens that work for a living and pay our share of taxes have seen what this invasion has wrought in our state.
All of us are who want this crap stopped are making our voices and actions seen and heard by our employees ( read: politicians) in Washington and their home offices here. Fineswine's office is being deluged with faxes, calls and visits.
At the end of the day, either they heed what we hired them to do or they will be history this November.

In other words, California is saturated with Spanish and Illegals and they approved of what is happening.
Meanwhile, real Americans continue to flee the invasion surrendering lands the illegals want to reclaim as their own.
All this while the government sits idle and watches it happen.
I take that back, they're aiding the invasion.
