I live 100 miles south now, but until 3 years ago I lived less than a mile north of the base........so I know exactly what you are talking about regarding flying low.

I live near False Egg Point near Fortescue on NJ side of Delaware Bay where the C5's make there 180deg turns waiting to land in Dover. I do alot of waterfowl hunting in this area also. Around Feb thru mid March theres around 50,000 to 70,000 snowgeese in the area staging getting ready for their sprimg migration to the top of the Northwest Terr. I don't know how many times those low flying C5's come close to running into 50,000 spooked snowgeese taking off. I'm surprised no C5's have crashed yet hitting all those snowgeese. When all those snowgeese takeoff from being spooked all those geese sound like a C5 taking off from Dover.
