I don't disagree with a lot of what you want to see accomplished. We probably would approach it in differing ways. I do think you are correct in that we have to be mindful of the impacts upon our economy, etc.
I think one of the best ways to approach this problem is through sanctions on employers. But to do that we have to have a system that allows them to verify the worker has been given papers to work here, pay social security and taxes, etc. Then if they hire illegals the punishment ought to be very strong.
Assets can only be used or spread so thin during the WOT. Thus I think the economic approach maybe more viable at this time. I do agree that border security along the high transit areas needs to be increase.
