As to your second point, then move, because the country you are in clearly isn't interested in defending *you*, they are more inclined to defend your attackers. I suggest the UK, the US, Australia or Israel, if you want a country that defends it's citizens. If you want one that allows it's citizens to defend themselves, there are probably only two choices, the US or Israel.
