I know. But I keep thinking about those two officers who were gunned down on the Hill in '98 and what could've happened on 9-11, and I just can't find it in me to be amused by her behavior. I think she's despicable.

She's insane..what's really despicable is Chris Matthews, a former Capitol Hill police office who last night was still unable to critisize McKinney...When Matthews next goes back up to the Hill, for an interview, on say, Tuesday morning..he should clear securiy by about, say Thursday afternon

you are right to point out the security aspect of this.
mckinney may have inadvertently done everyone a favor, by demonstrating that there may be a major security problem there. IF the police routinely let people in on the basis of facial recognition--as opposed to ID's (and it is not clear to me if this is the case)--then anyone who looks like some congressman could walk right in with a weapon.

I agree. It is despicable and she is a total embarrassment. I also think no person should be exempt from whatever security precautions that may exist in any public building in this country. Terrorism is real and people like her will get us all killed. Go away stupid woman!
