I feel the same way- secure the border, then we can discuss options. I will not support any plan that doesn't first secure the border, no more promises of future beefing up the border plans. There have been too many broken promises about border enforcement. I need to see it to believe it.

The requirement that all people coming into the United States after 2007 — whether from Canada or Mexico — present a passport or some other tamper-proof document is another subject of great concern that Harper raised. Bush said he understands the fears, but didn't back down. "Congress passed a law and I intend to enforce the law," the president said. "I believe this can be done in such a way that it makes future travel, future relations stronger, not weaker."

We already have this law in place. We currently have CBP working day and night. Which specific promises/laws have been broken by the Executive branch? And we need to name the person or agency that is willfully violating these enforcement provisions. I am not a President Bush cheerleader by anyones measure; but this immigration policy cannot be laid at his feet. It rightfully belongs to Congress.
