FROM YAHOO NEWS ALERT:
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) The U.S. Navy says American divers and helicopters are heading to a "ship accident" in the Persian Gulf off Bahrain
Yep. Cheap excursion tour perhaps.
Target pracitce for Iran's sub fleet?
"One never knows, do one?"
Well, Iran made it clear they were going to do military exercises in the area soon. Guess some units got a head start on others.
..and if it was a ferry, we know that it's Bush's fault. Ever since Brokeback Mountain he just hates 'em!
Take a deep breath hun (not to say I wasn't doin' the same thing).
At least 40 dead as Bahrain tourist ship sinks
5 minutes ago
MANAMA (Reuters) - A tourist ship carrying around 150 people sank off the coast of Bahrain late Thursday and at least 40 bodies were brought ashore, witnesses said.
Officials said around 60 people had been rescued from the sunken ship, which had taken tourists out for a short tour of the Gulf.
I wasn't upset.
No reason too. He's just confirming by his own comments something I've suspected for a while.....
From AFP: The boat capsized at about 9:45 pm local time (1845 GMT) near the Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bridge, one of three linking the capital Manama with the smaller Al-Muharraq island, Bahrain's Coast Guard chief Colonel Yussef al-Ghatim told AFP.
I know this...It's Bush's fault! (sarcasm)
No, no - it's Michael Jackson's fault!!!
How far away is this one from the last "Tourist Ship" that capsized in the same area?
Ignorance is the second most powerful elemental force [only the idiocy is stronger], vastly exceeding in power everything else normally encountered. Thus by all means is it to be harnessed to promote the national interest and to defend the Constitution.
MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) Bahrain's interior minister says 44 bodies have been recovered so far from the ferry sinking in the Persian Gulf.
It's hard to imagine an intelligent person making such a remark.
yep...
Tread's a troll. I wouldn't take anything seriously that comes from him.
The last one was in the middle of the Red Sea (Between Saudi and Egypt). This one was in coastal waters off Bahrain in the Persian Gulf (between Saudi and Iran). So they were not really close together at all.
Egyptian Ship Sinks At Sea
Updated: 23:31, Friday February 03, 2006
Rescue teams have found 185 dead and 314 survivors after an Egyptian ferry carrying more than 1,400 passengers sank in the Red Sea.
A massive air and sea rescue operation is underway where the ship disappeared.
Four Egyptian frigates are at the scene and boats have taken the survivors to the Egyptian port of Safaga.
Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said: "Our hearts go out to all those who we think have suffered so badly in this tragedy."
The rescue operation is being hampered by bad weather and there are reports of an electrical storm in the Red Sea overnight.
Once again, you prove you can't even have a bit of humor from me without you persoanlly attacking me.
Didn't Iran just recently talk of war manuvers on the sea?
