Majestic Mapp played basketball at the University of Virginia,
following in the footsteps of his older brother, Scientific Mapp.

Here's a neat African name site. I found this because we entered a gorilla naming contest and the name had to be from a country where west lowland gorillas are found. This is the list we came up with. We entered about three of these names. His parents are named Rafiki and Kwisha.

I doubt if he was, but her name is listed in the phone book, Roanoke VA. And keeping with the NASCAR theme, Martinsville is about one and a half hours South of me.

Golly, what the author said all the way. And what you said: non-AA parents giving their kids' names dumb spellings that no one can figure out.
I knew a boy who was constantly upset that people misspelled his name. I said change it or live with it. People are not going to hear "Ben" and have a clue your parents spelled it "Benne" or whatever.
Get a clue, people! There are so beautiful and meaningful names to choose from.

Oh, little Jayden Dakota Dirt. I know him. He lives in the same trailer with Cody Shai'ann Dirt and Maddycynne Molith'iya Dirt.
Their mama's name is Jennifer Snodgrass Dirt. She works at the chicken plant in Pittsburg. I went to school with her before she dropped out.
Their daddy Joe don't work.

An excellent illustration of how talking about race too much makes a big thing out of it and divides people.
Ticks me off, frankly.
To: DejaJude
That's different, how did a Choctaw, get a Mormon name? I wanted to have four kids so I could talk one of them in to naming a boy after my GGrand father John Alma Marchant, so I could call him JAM, the ex put a stop to that.

"How about Madycin
It looks like a new antibiotic."
Maybe that's what Dr. Clap gave to Dick Trickle!
To: Xenalyte
Plus "madycin" looks like the name of an antibiotic. Ugly.
