The baffoon was back on Nancy Grace again tonight. That's 3 nights running. And people claim that he will keep it from becoming a media circus? Shoot, Farese is the Ring Master. He obviously views this case as just free advertising for his firm. I have tried hundreds of cases. If you really care about your client and helping her out...you don't grandstand like he is grandstanding. All he wants is the limelight. Screw his client. She is just a means to an end. The best defense attorneys do their job without much fanfare and by flying low under the radar. I said it before, and I'll say it again...Steve Farese is a media whore. That's it. I would never want him representing me in anything.

Maybe you can help with something. Either Farese or Ballin, or possibly both as a team, was/were said to be the defense attorney(s) for a man who was acquitted of murdering his wife. I can't find details of the trial online, only a synopsis of the movie made about the wife's death and the trial.

From what I can ascertain, the husband's name is Michael or Mike Mullins. His wife was Holly Mullins or Holly Fulton. They were both pilots for Federal Express in Memphis. They were going through a bitter divorce when she was found beaten to death inside her burned-out minivan in West Memphis, AR. The fire accelerant was aviation fuel and Mullins is said to have had flash burns on his face and arms.

The husband was acquitted, after spending a small fortune on his defense. Many in that area felt he got away with murder. I can't figure out the dates of any of this, but it might have been 1992 or 1994. I can't even find a death record for the wife to know the DOD, but I read that it took two years to bring the husband to trial.

He runs a skydiving school and service now and seems to be well-liked in that industry.

The TV movie made about the case was called "Memphis: Burning Betrayal" for the A&E Network, in their City Confidential series, and first aired 8-15-2002. This is their blurb and pretty much all I know about this case:

"76 - Memphis: Burning Betrayal
Federal Express airline pilots Holly and Mike Mullins seemed to be flying high when they are first married. But as they soon learn, marriage between pilots has its ups and downs. Bitter divorce proceedings between Holly and Mike came to a sudden end when Holly's body was found in a burned-out van. When Mike eventually went on trial for murder, all of Memphis waited breathlessly for the verdict. Find out if he got away with murder. Paul Winfield narrates."

I don't even know if the case was tried in TN or AR. Any details would be appreciated if you can find some reference on it.
