One thing--raise taxes on low-wage jobs, especially SS taxes. Do you realize that our tax cuts (which essentially did away with taxes on low-wage earners) provided great incentive to illegal immigration? Why do you think so many illegals are massing in North Carolina, GA, etc? Low taxes.
We could create a disincentive to illegal immigration by taxing it.
Agreed; tax it like mad and any employer hiring illegals should be prosecuted for tax evasion.
