It's called Amnesty. We tried that already. If faired...poorly.
Well, we are going to "try" it again. Actually, the effects are quite well known so it is not a "trial." The politicians are simply creating a reliable voting bloc for Democrats that will trump all the slow difficult development of the Christian-Conservative current majority. And, of course, Republicans, not wanting the left moonbats to call them racist, are pumping it up, too.

This guy has labored hard and come up with garbage.
He says the ilegals displace American workers. This is wrong. The illegals displace the unemployable dregs of the workforce.
At current low unemployment the only people left are pretty much not employable given a choice. Druggies, lazy and those who can't get out of bed to come to work are the ones being replaced.

The unemployment figures do not include those that are not looking for work. Either they can't work or they choose not to. If they choose not to AND are on the public dole...they'll just have to go back to work.

It looks like much of his data comes from the Center for Immigration Studies.

Our experiences must be different. No job in this area is going begging. Summer work has to be filled or the business suffers. Most Tourist related jobs in my area are recruited. In the last 5 to seven years, those jobs have been recruited from overseas not from our college campuses.

I have been saying this for years.""
I still say the actual ILLEGAL INTRUDERS are closer to 40 million in the USA.
They don't respond to ANY kind of survey, to my knowledge. They might not speak English, but they have been coached on what to fill out and what NOT to fill out or respond to.

It's not illegal to grow food.
It is against the law to hire people who aren't in this country legally.
Apparently that distinction is lost on you. That or you encourage lawbreaking.

"The illegals displace the unemployable dregs of the workforce."
BS! In So. Cal. they are replacing, or have replaced almost all of the construction trade working for $18-20 cash, no deductions.
20 years ago construction paid over $20/hr. with over $7 in fringes plus comp insurance and taxes were deducted.
At $20/hr the illegals are costing the contractor less than half of what a decent american worker cost 20 years ago.
By 1992 I was forced into a position of either joining the cash/illegal business or shutting down and I chose to close a 56 year old construction co. that had provided well for my parents and I for those years.

>>Farmer Joes who do that are crooks who should be prosecuted and fined very heavily. As I said on another thread $5,000.00 per illegal per day sounds about right to me. Yeah let's throw Farmer Joe in jail for the "crime" of trying to grow food.(eyes rolling)
Another straw man argument. He would not charged with growing food but with hiring and using illegal immigrants as an employer.
