hehe..Ah, the good old days, when the GOP was the party of Law and Order and the Great Silent Majority..
(I know, Nixon was actually quite liberal on many issues, but I can't help but imagine him salivating at the thought of cracking the skulls of anyone who would attack the American Flag in his town..)

In 1976 friend of mine filed as an Elector in the our state's Electoral College pledged to Howard Baker.
Another friend said he would do hime one better. We went down to the secretary of States office and he filed as an elector for Richard M. Nixon!
It got him national coverage and interviews from stations around the country.
